Pull Me Out

Compel and draw forth, a little nearer to me

I want nothing
more than to see you and
these things you tell me
You release so little,
me only wanting more

Why won’t you grow old?
My contractually obligated childish naïtivity
stands in contrast
Your adulthood
reminds me of what I’m not
What I’m missing
or what I’ve forgotten

You draw forth from me
something I don’t know
Wanting to understand
Draw forth
something in you I don’t know
Wanting what
I don’t know

To you: pull me out of me
I am feeling
more than greedy to be with you
I want you
and old age
to meet each other
With me.
