Entering Heartspace Through Silence

“Silence is the sea, and speech is like the river. The sea is seeking you: don’t seek the river. Don’t turn your head away from the signs offered by the sea.” – Rumi

Silence is a mystery all people solve for themselves. I have answered that mystery by acknowledging it: in me is a desire for silence and stillness. This is where I find ease, knowingness, and connection. I call that place Heartspace. Throughout our lives we can all find many ways to express ourselves, and oftentimes that’s what we occupy our time with, self-expression. We write, sing, dance, talk, act, and do. Heartspace wants us to be. It’s in being that we can actually know ourselves most. Silence is an avenue to Heartspace, and that’s why Gandhi wrote, “In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness.”

Heartspace provides crystal clearness.

That’s all I’m going to write now, because it’s time for me to get quiet. Join me?
