The Sun Is Loud

Loud and proud,

the sun beats down
on my shoulders
Aloud,
beams like boulders
pummel me wildly

Beachside,
and my pride is inflated
My drink evaporated
and now
there is just alcohol
for me

If by this burn
it means that its my turn
to yearn
or discern
I need more time
so I dig out another rhyme

Banging and bumping
on a thousand shoulders
slumping
as the weight of daily living
has been eased
Feel that ocean’s breeze?

The sun is loud,
boastful and abrasive
‘tho it feels no hatred
it’s sin is to gloat
It does not have hope
because light like this always can float
