Afraid Together

“I don’t want fear to motivate this.”
You said you are scared.
Me? Fearful, too.
Of loving someone who doesn’t love me back;
Being too blind not to realize that is the case;
Staying in love with someone who does not have the capacity or desire to be in love with me;
Of being deserted, abandoned, again.
I’m scared, too. But still I go.
I want you to come with me.
I want to go together.
