petals set in my pocket
remind me
this place isn’t just dank
instead, there’s a lot of growth

resting on drenched
forest floors
takes over the
fine corpses of pretty
making way for more

more and more
reigns supreme in the language of trees
I stand to learn
sit to rest
my bum gets damp
as growth continues
