Someyou

At some point I’ll learn
not to love you
any
more.

I will walk one thousand miles
shed you like unwanted pounds

I won’t reply when you txt me
I don’t accept secret pleas for attn

At some point I’ll learn
not to love you any
more.

Don’t mistake my poetry blog
for a public display of affection

I’m not standing in the middle of downtown
screaming “I love you” at 4th & Capitol

At some point I’ll learn
not to love you any more.

If you’re still wondering then I’m doing just fine
If you’re not, I’m doing miserably

Don’t ask about me and don’t let them tell you
there are dates and jobs and dreams ahead

At some point I’ll learn not to love you
anymore.

I’m mad at you, my neuroses are named after you
“Ta—“, and “T-n–“, and “T–y-“, and “T—a”

Remembering nothing, I can’t say your name
for a PDA, unwanted attention, dates and jobs

AtsomepointI’lllearnnottoloveyouanymore.

I’lllovemore.

Someyou.
